At Nyack, on Tuesday, Aug. 12th, 1879, Rachel S., beloved wife of Isaac S. Lydecker, in the 84th year of her age.
OBITUARY
MRS. ISAAC S. LYDECKER On thursday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, Mrs. Isaac S. Lydecker was buried from her late residence in this village. She gently slept away. It was noticed by her friends that she grew weaker, and she occasionally said, "I am tired." Now we hope she is at rest. She had attained the age of 83 years, and for 66 years had journeyed on in life hand in hand with her partner. The greater part of her life had been spent in Nyack---She was known and loved by many. Her quiet, gentle disposition did not fail to exert its happy influence. Her life now ended, has been one of silent deeds: like Mary, she ever sat at the Master's feet.----Children. and grandchildren and great grandchildren, gathered around her coffin and mingled their tears of affection. The little form has departed from among us, yet her spirit will live in the memories of many friends.
