Ann Louisa Lydecker

OBITUARY.
Mrs. Cornelius H. Lydecker. The sad news reached Nyack early Friday afternoon of the death of Ann Louisa, wife of Mr. Cornelius H. Lydecker, which occurred at the home of her parents, two miles north of Nanuet. Her age was 49 years, 2 months and 12 days. Mrs. Lydecker was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samson Marks, and was born In this county. After her marriage to Mr. Lydecker, which took place in the Theological Seminary at New Brunswick, N. J , the Rev. Peter J. Quick officiating, she and her husband came to Nyack to reside and have lived here ever since, Mr. Lydecker being a member of the firm of Lydecker Bros., grocers. Mrs. Lydecker was in ill health during the Summer and a few weeks ago went to her parents' home, north of Nanuet, where she could enjoy the quietude of that locality. She was improving when, about a month ago, she had an attack of pneumonia. She had prompt and faithful medical attendance and in a short time her condition grew much better. Complications set in later, however, resulting In an an affectlon of the heart, from which she died Friday, at noon. Every one who knew Mrs. Lydecker will be pained to learn of her death. While she was quiet and unostentatious in manner, her nature was beautified with those graces which characterize true womanhood and make the influence of one's life felt wherever it is known. In her relation of daughter, wife and mother she was equally true and tender. She was a devoted member of the Nyack Reformed Church. Mrs. Lydecker is survived by her husband and one daughter, Miss Mamie Lydecker, who have the sympathy of all their friends in their bereavement. Funeral services were held at the residence of Mr. Marks, north of Nanuet, on Tuesday, Sept. 26th, at 1 pm. The Rev. Dr. W. J. Leggett, of the Nyack Reformed Church, and the Rev. G. M. Conover, of the Clarkstown Reformed Church, officiated.
