Hester Johnson

In Haverstraw, on the 28th ultimo, after a short illness, at an advanced age, Mrs. Hester Johnson, consort of James Johnson. The deceased had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church for many years, and had long entertained a pleasing hope of everlasting bliss, through the merits of Jesus Christ. “ When marble monuments shall all decay. Rocks turn to dust, and mountains melt away, The Sainted forms shall o’er their ruins rise, And meet their Saviour through the opening skies.”
