CAPT. GARRISON.
A Well Known Barge Captain for 35 Years. Capt. Weyant Garrison, who died at Kingston this week, was a native of Rockland County, having been born at Haverstraw on May 5, 1842. A few years later his parents removed to Kingston, where they have since resided. Capt. Garrison was well known all along the river, as he had been employed as a barge captain for the last 35 years. He was a veteran soldier, as on August 11, 1862, he enlisted in Company H, 120 th Regiment, N. Y. V. for a three years' service. He was a Free Mason, an Odd Fellow and a Grand Army man. He leaves a large family to mourn his departure.
